Geotechnical Engineering
MTC's geotechnical consulting and engineering services encompass subsurface investigations, foundation design, liquefaction and compressible soil mitigation, slope stability analysis and full-service earthwork monitoring. Our in-house staff includes a Washington State licensed professional engineer, licensed engineering geologist and experienced soil technicians. The staff is supported by three soil laboratories that perform all tests in accordance with ASTM, WSDOT and ICC standards. MTC's broad experience with intermediate and deep foundation elements allows flexibility and efficiency for designing developments in unstable soils. We specialize in cement-modified soils, an economical treatment solution that can result in significant cost savings for earthwork projects with adverse subgrade conditions. Our staff has completed large geotechnical investigations and designs for sites exceeding 50 acres in size and monitoring massive, aggressive earthwork endeavors.
